Uzbekistan and the United States strengthen cooperation in developing children’s content
A meeting was held between Jonathan Henick, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Uzbekistan, Jahongir Akhmedov, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Director of the Cinematography Agency, and Zafar Yuldashev, Executive Director of the Center for the Development of Children’s Content.
The parties discussed involving young Uzbek specialists in international education programs across animation, cinematography, visual effects, acting, and other creative domains. They exchanged ideas on organizing master classes, seminars, and creative meetings in Uzbekistan featuring top American directors, music producers, and industry experts. An agreement was made to increase industry specialists’ participation in the Fulbright academic exchange program and other global educational initiatives. Additionally, they plan to collaboratively develop educational materials for children in Uzbekistan to learn English.
The Ambassador confirmed the American side’s readiness to support joint initiatives to develop children’s content.
