Bukhara – an important center for scientific and intercultural dialogue and diplomacy
Kaha Imnadze, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, who is attending the Second Asian Women’s Forum in Bukhara, emphasized the importance of holding a dialogue about the future in this historic city.

“Bukhara has been an important center of scientific and intercultural dialogue and diplomacy for centuries”, Kaha Imnadze said. “Today, this city is becoming a significant platform for bringing together women’s leadership qualities, scientific potential, and initiatives aimed at developing cooperation”.

Deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jyldyz Taalaibek kyzy, noted that an increasing number of women are pursuing careers in science. Their research, innovative ideas, and leadership potential are essential to addressing modern challenges. The forum provides a platform for cooperation among women scientists, the exchange of experience, and the promotion of scientific initiatives.

“At this stage, our countries are focused on strengthening trust in the region, fostering constructive dialogue, and expanding practical cooperation”, said Mujibakhon Javkhari, Chairperson of the Committee on Social Affairs, Family, and Healthcare of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Parliament of Tajikistan. “The Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian Countries and Azerbaijan is a natural continuation of this cooperation. I would particularly like to note Uzbekistan’s high level of preparation for this forum”.
