Independence brought not only age-old dreams to the creative community, but also freedom and new opportunities. What spirit did this era breathe into the world of art? In a conversation with the poet Gulchehra Shahobiddin qizi, we will explore the conditions of today's artists.

Independence is the age-old dream of our people and a symbol of true freedom for the creative community. It has bestowed upon our nation's artists and thinkers the joy of self-realization, the revival of national values, and the freedom of thought. This period ushered in a new era of renaissance in art, literature, and culture.

During the years of independence, creative professionals were liberated from repression and restrictions. The memory and heritage of our ancestors, whose names were once forbidden to be mentioned, have been restored. In short, Independence created the foundation for the creative community to return to its historical roots.

We spoke in detail with Gulchehra Shahobiddin qizi—a member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, recipient of the "Shuhrat" medal, and a poetess—about the opportunities created for writers and readers in recent years.
