Uzbekistan and the OSCE strengthen cooperation on sustainable development and security
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan met with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu, during which the parties discussed current issues on the international and regional agenda and prospects for further cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the OSCE’s role in today’s environment, its contribution to open dialogue, confidence-building, and stability. The parties considered cooperation in areas such as gender equality, youth policy, cybersecurity, green development, environmental sustainability, and regional cooperation.
During the talks, the emergence of a new atmosphere of good-neighborliness and mutual trust in Central Asia was also noted.
In addition, the participants exchanged views on global security issues, emphasizing the need to resolve all conflicts and contradictions exclusively through diplomatic means, grounded in dialogue and the norms of international law.
