The ballet “Jaloliddin Manguberdi” to be premiered
On 4-5 February, a big premiere will take place at the State Academic Grand Theater named after Alisher Navoi.
Rustam Abdullayev’s ballet “Jaloliddin Manguberdi”, staged by the world-famous choreographer Mehmet Balkan, is a long-awaited performance by the public. And there are only a few days left before its premiere.
Jaloliddin Manguberdi – the last of the Khorezmshah dynasty – went down in history as a just ruler, a talented commander and the main enemy of the powerful Genghis Khan, who managed to resist the invincible ruler of the Mongol Empire.
Revered in many countries of the world, Jaloliddin Manguberdi has become a national hero in Uzbekistan: legends about him pass from generation to generation, songs and books are written in his honor, films are made, performances are staged.
The composer of the ballet performance is maestro Rustam Abdullayev; the choreographer is Turkish choreographer Mehmet Balkan; the production designer is Tayfun Çebi; the music director and conductor is Denis Vlasenko.
