“The Grand Amir and Donna Maria” is presented in Barcelona

The international screening of the feature film “The Grand Amir and Donna Maria” took place in Barcelona at the Cinemes Girona.

The film, shot as part of the Living History Project at the order of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan, presents an artistic interpretation of the life of the great commander Amir Temur and his diplomatic relations with European countries.

The Uzbekistan delegation includes the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, screenwriter and people’s writer of Uzbekistan Khayriddin Sultanov, director Yolqin Tuychiyev, actors Oscar Foronda and Haydar Koyel, and film industry experts.

The shooting process, historical events, and the film’s ideological content were discussed in detail at the event.

Following the screening, the film made a strong impression on the audience. The increased interest in Amir Temur’s personality and his rich heritage was also noted.

This project is of great importance for popularizing Uzbekistan’s history internationally, strengthening cultural ties, and demonstrating the potential of national cinema.
