Tennis: Maria Timofeeva wins tournament in Croatia

Uzbekistan’s third-ranked player Maria Timofeeva won the main prize at the WTA125 international tournament held in the city of Makarska.

In the final of the tournament, which had a prize fund of $115,000, M. Timofeeva defeated Latvia’s Darja Semenistaja 6-2, 6-3.
