Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiatives for regional cooperation
The official state newspaper “Azerbayjan” has published an article highlighting the initiatives proposed by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
The article focuses on the proposals by the President of Uzbekistan to expand trade and economic relations, develop joint manufacturing, and boost transport cooperation.
According to the publication, Uzbekistan’s Leader emphasized Azerbaijan’s role in strengthening economic and transport connectivity between Central Asia and other regions. In this context, extensive opportunities for cooperation in trade, transport, energy, industry, and emerging technologies were highlighted.
The article highlights the Head of State’s initiatives to build joint industrial and technological chains, develop shared digital services, and create investment mechanisms that will speed up the implementation of large-scale projects.
The “Six economies – one product” principle, proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was also discussed. This initiative is crucial for integrating the region’s enterprises into a single production chain and establishing joint production of finished products.
At the same time, the article highlights proposals to improve the legal framework for cooperation, including the use of consultative meetings and measures to ensure the practical implementation of the adopted documents. In particular, it notes that the President of Uzbekistan put forward an initiative to organize a joint business forum of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan next year.
