Safe environment and digital management system introduced in the student town

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the activities of the situation center established at the hokimiyat of the Yoshlik Student Town in Almazar district.

The country’s development and future are inseparable from the potential of educated, proactive young people who aspire to knowledge and science. Therefore, particular attention is being paid to providing comprehensive support for students, creating a safe and modern environment for them, and digitalizing management systems in educational institutions and student towns.

An important legal basis for this work is the Presidential Resolution “On additional measures to introduce an integrated system of targeted work to create a safe environment in mahallas of the republic”, signed by the Head of State on January 5 this year.

As part of these efforts, a situation center based on digital technologies has been established in the Yoshlik Student Town. The center functions as an integrated system designed to ensure student safety, monitor the social environment in the area in real time, track attendance, and prevent offenses. 

The Yoshlik Student Town administration building, with a total area of 1,368 square meters, was constructed in 2024. A total of 33 billion UZS was allocated for its major renovation, the establishment of the situation center, and landscaping of the surrounding area.

In addition to the situation center, the building currently houses a startup center, a museum dedicated to the history of higher education, the district department of the Youth Affairs Agency, and a women’s entrepreneurship center.

The situation center covers 41 student dormitories within the Yoshlik Student Town. The system helps ensure the safety of about 75,000 students, including 17,500 young men and women living in the dormitories. It also enables student attendance monitoring and helps prevent offenses. 

The center integrates 17 information systems. This enables prompt analysis of various data through a single digital platform and allows the center to take necessary measures depending on the situation.

During the visit, the Head of State was informed about the center’s operating principles and its capabilities for real-time monitoring of security and the social environment in the student town.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev recommended using the system to ensure systematic engagement with students and to address their concerns promptly.

Responsible officials were instructed to introduce this experience in other student dormitories across the country.
