First Forum of University Rectors of Uzbekistan and Spain

The opening ceremony of the first Forum of University Rectors of Uzbekistan and Spain was held at King Juan Carlos University in Madrid.

The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Spain Farrukh Tursunov, Rector of Westminster International University in Tashkent Komiljon Karimov, representatives of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE), and the leadership of King Juan Carlos University.

The forum participants will discuss prospects for cooperation in higher education, science, and academic exchange, as well as ways to strengthen collaboration and launch new joint projects.

Representatives of 38 universities from Uzbekistan are taking part in the forum’s events and meetings.

The international forum will continue until June 13.
