Discussions on the growth of trade and economic relations
At the regular meeting of the UzLiDeP Faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, issues related to the visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to Uzbekistan on March 26-27 were discussed.
As noted, this visit became a significant stage in strengthening the friendship and strategic partnership between the two states. It was emphasized that the high-level negotiations and the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council will bring cooperation to a new level.
The deputies focused on the agreements reached regarding the expansion of trade and economic ties, the development of industrial cooperation, and the strengthening of transport connectivity. Plans for a significant increase in the volume of mutual trade until 2030 were highlighted separately.
The practical importance of several signed documents, including a joint statement, industry agreements, and roadmaps, was emphasized. The execution of the documents will further strengthen economic and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
According to the faction members, the results of the last meeting of the two heads of state serve to increase trade, create new jobs, ensure stability in the transport and energy sectors, and strengthen the friendship and trust between the peoples. All this will create a solid foundation for sustainable progress not only in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan but throughout the region.
