Ambassador of China praises the pace of reforms in New Uzbekistan
Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, paid an official visit to Uzbekistan. During the visit, high-level talks were held, resulting in the signing of several documents aimed at developing trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

We spoke with Yu Jun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan, about the visit’s outcomes, the agreements reached, and prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
– The visit of the delegation led by Premier Li Qiang to Uzbekistan was an important event in our bilateral relations, – the Ambassador said. – During the visit, a productive meeting was held with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and important agreements were reached on developing bilateral relations. New areas for expanding cooperation were identified, along with priority tasks and action plans.
During the visit, several documents were signed covering cooperation in trade, investment, culture, and humanitarian affairs. These agreements will provide an important foundation for strengthening our bilateral relations.
In recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and China have steadily developed across all areas. Specific tasks and roadmaps are expected to be developed to implement the agreements reached during this visit. I am confident that this meeting and the talks held will give fresh impetus to cooperation between our countries.
During the visit, our delegation also toured the Islamic Civilization Center. The visit gave us a deeper understanding of Uzbekistan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, its contribution to world civilization, and its role in advancing science. The exhibits displayed at the Center showcase your country’s remarkable past and its enormous potential for future development.
Cultural and humanitarian cooperation plays an important role in promoting mutual understanding, trust and friendship between peoples. That is why one of the objectives of our delegation’s visit was to expand cultural dialogue and exchanges between civilizations, as well as to encourage the sharing of experience. Such contacts help strengthen friendship between our peoples.
