A place opening new possibilities for generosity
Today, agriculture in Uzbekistan extends beyond just harvesting crops from the land. There is a growing focus on deep processing and storage of cultivated products, supplying finished goods to both domestic and international markets. Additionally, regions are being developed into new tourist destinations by leveraging their natural and economic strengths.
A key element of the new economic strategy led by the Head of State focuses on leveraging each region’s unique potential, developing modern production in rural areas, and providing the population with reliable income sources and new employment opportunities.
A large-scale project underway in Bukhara district exemplifies these noble goals.
A contemporary agro-industrial complex is emerging in Sakhovat mahalla, combining agriculture, processing, services, and tourism.
O’lmas Gold LLC is carrying out this initiative, founded on the basis of Bukhara Agro Star LLC and Gala River LLC.
The project’s scale and scope are impressive. Several facilities are under construction to process and store fruit and vegetable products, offer modern services, and create welcoming conditions for tourists.
A workshop for producing plastic crates is currently in operation. It serves the company’s needs and enhances its ability to adopt modern packaging solutions.
Construction and installation activities are ongoing at a juice workshop, a 500-ton cold storage, a restaurant, a museum, and various other facilities.
A distinctive feature of the project is the creation of an enotourism center on-site.
Bukhara has long captivated tourists worldwide with its ancient history, distinctive architecture, craftsmanship, and rich gastronomic heritage. Now, new dimensions of agriculture and modern tourism are being added to this potential.
The center is designed to feature a restaurant, a museum, and additional service facilities. This setup will let tourists enjoy nature and agricultural activities while also providing opportunities to explore national cuisine, local products, and the area's distinctive cultural environment.
The project also focuses on modern technologies and energy-efficient solutions.
During the visit, issues related to the commissioning of production facilities, the development of engineering and communication infrastructure, and the improvement of the electricity supply were thoroughly reviewed.
Launching this project at full capacity in Sakhovat will generate new employment opportunities and lead to a rise in stable, decent incomes for the local residents.
Most importantly, the ability to store and process agricultural products produced in the region will grow. This will help boost the added value of these products and improve farmers’ labor productivity.
At the same time, expanding tourism services will enhance Bukhara district’s prominence on the tourism map.
The project is expected to boost economic activity in Bukhara district, enhance the competitiveness of local products, and improve the well-being of residents.
