Uzbekistan – Italy: from agricultural production to packaging
Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov met with representatives of the Italian company Planet Farms at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Rome.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the company expressed interest in establishing a modern smart greenhouse complex in Uzbekistan and in developing an integrated system for sorting, packaging, and delivering ready-to-market products.
In particular, the company’s innovative technologies will enable efficient use of water and land resources, reduce fertilizer use, and support the production of high-quality agricultural products without pesticides or herbicides.
The parties also considered ways to automate production processes and integrate product packaging systems into a single complex.
The parties discussed developing modern greenhouse facilities, integrating processes from cultivation through packaging, and expanding cooperation on investment projects.
