Uzbekistan and Italy enhance collaboration in sports medicine

Experts from the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine are attending an international symposium in Rome titled “Preventive Healthcare in Sports: Italian Model – Current Practice and Development Prospects”.

As part of the event, a meeting was held with Fabio Pigozzi, the President of the International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS).

During the talks, the FIMS President commended the focus on advancing sports and sports medicine in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, proposals were made to create collaborations with Foro Italico University, a major partner of FIMS in areas such as sports medicine, dietetics, pharmacology, and sports psychology. Emphasis was especially placed on training and enhancing the professional skills of experts.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine and Foro Italico University.
