Tourist arrivals from Türkiye to Uzbekistan rise by 15.1 percent
Tourism officials from Uzbekistan and Türkiye met at the Tourism Committee.
The talks focused on strengthening tourism ties between the two countries, attracting more visitors, and carrying out joint projects.
Tourism cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye has steadily expanded in recent years, as reflected in rising tourist arrivals.
From January through August 2026, 130,100 tourists from Türkiye visited Uzbekistan, a 15.1 percent increase over the same period last year. As a result, Türkiye ranked among the top three non-neighboring countries by tourist arrivals to Uzbekistan, alongside Russia and China.
The meeting focused on how to make better use of the countries’ historical and cultural ties to promote tourism.
The parties also discussed implementing joint media projects to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in Türkiye.
The sides also addressed attracting Turkish investors to build new hotels and tourism infrastructure across Uzbekistan’s regions.
The parties also agreed that Türkiye would participate as a partner country in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF 2026).
