Thomas Gnoth: “Uzbekistan’s textile industry is developing rapidly”
The second day of CAITME 2026, the 17th Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition, is taking place at the Uzexpocentre National Exhibition Complex.
German company Optibelt GmbH is also showcasing its products and solutions at the exhibition.
– We are following the reforms in Uzbekistan and the dynamic development of its economy, particularly in the industrial and textile sectors, with great interest, – says Thomas Gnoth, the company’s Regional Sales Manager for the CIS countries. – We see that new opportunities are emerging in the country for doing business and cooperating with foreign companies. We are interested in contributing to these processes.
Optibelt GmbH has been cooperating for many years with Uzbek company Advantex LLC, its distributor in Uzbekistan, which helps promote its products in the local market and build relationships with new customers.

Optibelt manufactures drive belts for the mechanical engineering and textile sectors. Its selection includes V-belts, timing belts, and multi-ribbed belts.
We take part in CAITME annually. The Uzbek market remains highly promising for us. This year, we aim to deepen collaboration, forge new business relations, and boost sales.
We are pleased to see the rapid development of Uzbekistan’s textile industry. We see that the country’s economic potential continues to grow, and therefore intend to actively pursue new projects with local partners and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
