Tax Committee delegation takes part in OECD Global Forum Meeting
A delegation from the Tax Committee participated in the meeting of the OECD Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes’ Peer Review and Monitoring Group (PRMG), the Tax Committee reports.
At the working sessions held in Paris, Uzbekistan participated as a jurisdiction undergoing the peer review process under the Global Forum framework.

The peer review process in Uzbekistan took nearly a year to complete. It was organized through cooperation between the Tax Committee and Global Forum experts, with participation from relevant ministries and government agencies.

During this period, the legislative frameworks of the ministries and agencies, as well as their practical activities, were examined in detail. The extent to which administrative procedures comply with international standards was also assessed.
The results of these assessments were reviewed during the working sessions in Paris. The discussions also evaluated Uzbekistan’s implementation of the international standard on the Exchange of Information on Request (EOIR).
This process is important for implementing international tax transparency requirements in Uzbekistan, improving information exchange mechanisms, and strengthening cooperation with foreign tax administrations.
The results of the review will be published on the OECD’s official website once the relevant procedures are completed.
