President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrives in the Republic of Korea
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, arrived in Seoul on a state visit.
The distinguished guests received a ceremonial welcome at Seoul Air Base of the Republic of Korea Air Force. A Guard of Honor was lined up in honor of the President of Uzbekistan, and an artillery salute was fired.
The Leader of Uzbekistan was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy Koo Yun Cheol and other officials.
The three-day visit program includes talks with President Lee Jae Myung of the Republic of Korea in narrow and expanded formats, as well as meetings with the Speaker of the National Assembly Cho Jeong-sik, Prime Minister Han Seong-sook, heads of leading Korean companies and financial institutions, and members of the Uzbek community in the Republic of Korea.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also address the opening of the Uzbekistan – Korea Business Forum.
On September 16, the President of Uzbekistan will take part in the first Central Asia – Republic of Korea Summit.
Alongside the visit’s political and economic agenda, Days of Uzbek Culture will be held in Seoul and several other cities across the Republic of Korea.
