Hussain Al Nowais: We intend to continue expanding our investment in Uzbekistan
As Uzbekistan’s economy expands and its population grows, demand for energy resources continues to rise.
On the sidelines of the first meeting of the Energy Sector Investors’ Council held in Tashkent, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received executives from leading companies of the United Arab Emirates. Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of AMEA Power, also attended the meeting.
Strategic ties between Uzbekistan and the UAE continue to deepen. Available data show that bilateral trade has grown by 40 percent since the start of the year. Major investment projects are also progressing successfully, and cooperation is expanding in green energy, modern infrastructure, industrial development, tourism, and services.
– Our company is successfully implementing promising projects in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, – said Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of AMEA Power. – We are currently constructing a wind power plant in Karakalpakstan and developing energy storage systems in Bukhara region. We are interested in expanding our investments in Uzbekistan.
Your country offers extensive opportunities for investors, and its favorable investment climate reflects President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s forward-looking policies and strong political will. Therefore, we intend to continue increasing our investments in Uzbekistan.
