President of Uzbekistan and Prime Minister of Georgia hold a phone call

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.

The President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health and well-being, and continued prosperity for the people of Georgia. 

The two leaders discussed expanding the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Georgia by implementing the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Georgia on July 2-3 this year. 

Particular attention was paid to increasing bilateral trade, deepening industrial cooperation, and strengthening transport connectivity, including through the effective use of the infrastructure of Georgia’s ports of Poti and Anaklia.
