New opportunities for startups

After consolidating in the domestic market, the next stage of a startup’s development is international expansion. However, the path from developing an idea to launching it in another country can be challenging. The Turkic states are beginning to bring their technological ecosystems closer together to simplify these processes.

The First Technology Forum of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Tashkent, has become a special platform for addressing these tasks. For the first time, representatives of technoparks and innovative organizations from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Türkiye gathered in one venue to discuss promising opportunities for startups, attracting investment, and developing technology companies.

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development of Azerbaijan, Astana Hub, Kyrgyzstan’s High Technology Park, and Türkiye’s Bilişim Vadisi attended the event.

Following the discussions, the parties signed a five-party memorandum. The technoparks will exchange practical experience, support collaborative projects, and help introduce technology companies to the markets of the involved countries.

As a result, the entry of startups into new markets no longer depends solely on their own resources. Systemic mechanisms for finding partners, attracting investors, and integrating into the local technological environment are being formed.
