Meeting with GIZ representatives

Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orinbayev met with representatives of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

It was highlighted that Germany and Uzbekistan have built a strong partnership, with active cooperation developing with Karakalpakstan. The significant reforms and initiatives led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at socio-economic progress in the Aral Sea Region and at addressing the impacts of the Aral tragedy, were also acknowledged.

Karakalpakstan is also carrying out activities to promote economic development, as well as ecology, medicine, and vocational education, in partnership with Germany.

Several new joint projects were discussed.
