Cooperation with Germany strengthens
Navoi hosted an international forum “Migration, Vocational Education, and Professional Development”.
The forum was attended by representatives of leading German companies and organizations, with employees of GIC Uzbekistan (German Industry and Commerce LLC), the official representative office of the German economy in Central Asia, leading the delegation.

Hokim of Navoi region Normat Tursunov met with the delegation from Germany and discussed issues related to developing cooperation in labor migration, training the population in modern, in-demand professions, improving the advanced training system, and preparing competitive specialists for the German labor market.
Views were exchanged on expanding ties between the two sides in education, implementing joint programs, strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and employers, and training personnel in accordance with international standards.

At the meeting, the parties agreed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation, establish joint educational projects, and implement initiatives.
As part of the forum, B2B meetings were held with representatives from 12 German companies, 27 technical schools in Navoi region, Navoi State University, and training centers.

The parties discussed issues related to the professional training of personnel, improving educational programs in line with international standards, increasing the amount of practical training, enhancing teachers’ qualifications, and organizing practical classes for students.
Preliminary agreements were reached to establish cooperation, and a bilateral memorandum was signed.

A meeting was held between representatives of German companies and young people studying German at no cost at the Navoi regional branch of the Migration Agency. It was also attended by other citizens studying German, holders of international language certificates, and those wishing to study or work in Germany.

Representatives of German companies provided information on their organizations’ activities, labor market needs, recruitment procedures, and professional training programs.

Members of the delegation visited Navpromlitmash and became familiar with the dual education system implemented there and its practical outcomes.
