Children’s rights are integral to human rights
June 1st is celebrated as International Children’s Day.
Mirsultan Mirzarakhmatov, a specialist in the Department of Strategic Planning and Information and Analytical Work of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries, and a third-class lawyer, provided information on children’s rights, their comprehensive support, and the measures being implemented in the country.
“International Children’s Day is intended to draw public attention to issues related to ensuring the rights, interests, and well-being of every child”, Mirsultan Mirzarakhmatov said. “Children’s rights are an integral part of human rights. All states pay special attention to children’s education, healthy development, and upbringing in a safe environment.
Our country, as a state party to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, is consistently fulfilling its international obligations. The Constitution establishes that the state protects the family, motherhood, fatherhood, and childhood. In recent years, important work has been carried out to expand preschool education coverage for children, build schools, develop inclusive education, and strengthen the child healthcare system. All this is aimed at ensuring decent education and upbringing for the younger generation.
Parents, educational institutions, public organizations, and every citizen are involved in the fate of children. Helping children from low-income families, participating in charity campaigns, or supporting educational initiatives are manifestations of society’s social responsibility. One example is the blood donation campaign “All our love is for you, child!” The role and significance of this event are difficult to overestimate. In treating children with serious illnesses, there is a high demand for blood and its components. One donor can save the lives of several children. The campaign is not only a form of medical assistance but also an expression of humanism and solidarity.

International experience shows that investments in children’s education and health are the most effective. Schoolchildren will become specialists who will develop the economy, science, and the public administration system, so every condition created for children is a solid foundation for the future.
