Astana hosts the OTS Ministers of Internal Affairs Meeting

Astana hosted the 3rd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States. The agenda covered terrorism, extremism, and transnational organized crime, as well as combating cyber risks.

Astana hosted the 3rd Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States. The agenda covered terrorism, extremism, and transnational organized crime, as well as combating cyber risks.

Participants also addressed the fight against trafficking and illegal migration, including information exchange among law enforcement agencies.

The discussion focused on the draft agreement on forming a Crime Control Council between member and observer states.

Following the event, the participants signed a joint declaration on developing cooperation on security and crime prevention.

The next Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the Organization of Turkic States in 2027 will take place in Türkiye.
