Achievements of young chess players in Italy
Uzbekistan’s athletes achieved notable success at the 5° Festival Bella Italia International Chess Festival in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
Young chess players Ortiq Nigmatov, Abdumajid Botiraliyev, Sheralijon Ravshanov, along with Hasan and Husan Akramovs, represented Uzbekistan in the Masters group championships and defended the country’s honor.
After nine rounds, Uzbekistan’s Ortiq Nigmatov led the group with 7.5 points. Hasan Akramov scored 5.5 points and increased his rating by 132 points. Sheralijon Ravshanov also earned 5.5 points, with a rating change of 72 points.
Zafar Tolipov, competing in the Open A group, also achieved notable success. After seven rounds, he earned 6.5 points, securing first place. Hasan Akramov finished third with 5.5 points.
