Abduqodir Husanov's team leads the English Premier League
The 3rd round of matches in the English Premier League has concluded.
One of the most notable events of the round for Uzbek football fans was another victory for Manchester City, where our compatriot Abduqodir Husanov plays. The Manchester side defeated Coventry City 1-0 at home, securing their third win of the season.
In other matches of the round, Ipswich Town lost 0-2 at home to Liverpool. The Newcastle vs. Bournemouth match ended 2-2, while the Brentford vs. Sunderland fixture finished 1-1. No goals were scored in the clash between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham, which ended 0-0.
Fulham was defeated 2-3 at home by Crystal Palace. The Brighton vs. Leeds match ended with a 1-1 score, while in the match between Hull City and Aston Villa, the teams also settled for a draw — 0-0.
The final day of the round also featured matches that captured the fans' attention. Everton drew 2-2 at home against Manchester United, while in the London derby, Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-1 to claim their third victory of the season.
Thus, following the results of Round 3, Manchester City leads the league table with 9 points. Although Arsenal also has 9 points, they are in second place due to goal difference. Hull City is in third place with 7 points, and Chelsea holds the fourth spot with 6 points.
In the subsequent positions, Brentford, Liverpool, Newcastle, Everton, and Leeds have each accumulated 5 points, occupying the 5th to 9th places based on goal difference. Brighton, Manchester United, and Sunderland are in 10th to 12th place with 4 points each.
Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town each have 3 points and occupy the next positions in the table. Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have each earned 2 points.
Aston Villa and Tottenham, along with Fulham and Coventry City, are in the lower positions.
The 4th round matches of the English Premier League will take place from September 12 to 14.
