A new academic year of Azerbaijani language courses kicks off in Tashkent
An event marking the start of the new academic year of language courses was held at the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Rashad Mammadov, course participants, and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora attended the event.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Ambassador wished the new participants success and emphasized the Azerbaijani language’s significant role in preserving the people’s national identity, cultural heritage, and historical memory.

According to him, over the centuries, the Azerbaijani language has developed significantly, evolving into a rich literary language and becoming an important part of national and state traditions. He also noted its unifying role for compatriots living in different countries worldwide.
Quoting the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Ambassador emphasized that preserving the purity and uniqueness of the Azerbaijani language is an important task for an independent state. In this context, he noted the significance of educational initiatives aimed at popularizing the language and passing it on to future generations.
At the event, participants were also shown a video prepared by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center using AI technologies. It covers the history of the Azerbaijani language’s development, its richness, and unique characteristics.

The event concluded with an orientation tour for the new course participants. They visited the museums and the library at the Cultural Center, explored the exhibitions and artifacts, and learned about the library’s book collection.
