Uzbekistan’s experience in tourism development is represented in the Republic of Korea
Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee are taking part in the Korea Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Tourism (KOPIST) High-Level Policy Forum, which is being held at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea.
The forum is devoted to current trends in the development of the tourism industry, ongoing reforms in Asian countries, and the exchange of best practices in sustainable tourism. Representatives of relevant departments and the tourism industry of various countries are taking part in the event.
This year, the forum focused on promoting the regions’ tourism potential and studying the Korean experience in sustainable tourism development.
Within the framework of the forum, representatives from Uzbekistan informed participants about the large-scale transformations implemented in recent years in the country’s tourism sector. The measures for state support for the industry, efforts to diversify tourism products, and efforts to promote the national tourism brand on international markets were highlighted in detail.
It was noted that the ongoing reforms and Uzbekistan’s positive experience in tourism aroused interest among forum participants and foreign partners.
