Uzbekistan Pavilion receives 17 international awards at Expo 2025 Osaka
The Uzbekistan Pavilion, “Garden of Knowledge: A Laboratory for a Future Society”, at Expo 2025 Osaka has received 17 international professional awards, making it one of the most decorated national pavilions at the exhibition.
The project, implemented by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation in collaboration with the international architecture firm ATELIER BRÜCKNER, has received leading global awards in architecture, design, sustainable development, and exhibition technologies.

Three new awards received in June 2026 further confirmed the project’s international success.
On June 8, the Uzbekistan Pavilion was announced as the winner of the Architizer A+ Awards in the Cultural & Expo Centers category. The Architizer A+ Awards are one of the most prestigious international architecture awards. A professional jury selects only one winner per category, making the award particularly significant.

On June 11, at the ADC Awards ceremony in Hamburg, the pavilion received two additional gold awards in the Exhibition – Museum & Pavilion Design and Architecture and Public & Urban Design – Architectural Installations categories.
During the exhibition, more than one million people visited the pavilion, and its architectural concept, exhibition design, and sustainable construction approach received broad recognition from the international professional community.

The pavilion’s architecture is grounded in the principles of sustainable development and the circular economy. The central element of the structure is a wooden construction. The project combines modern architectural solutions with the traditions of Uzbekistan’s craftsmanship and demonstrates an approach to architecture as a tool for cultural dialogue and sustainable development.
After Expo 2025 Osaka, the pavilion will be relocated to Nukus, where it will become part of a new creative park and public space focused on the development of culture, education, and the creative industries.
