Uzbekistan and China create new prospects for tourism growth
Abdulaziz Akkulov, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, met with Ji Xiaodong, Chairman of the Tourism Chamber of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.
The parties discussed promising areas for cooperation to develop tourism infrastructure and attract investment.
During the talks, particular attention was paid to the joint construction of modern cableways in Uzbekistan’s mountainous regions, as well as to engaging Chinese specialists with experience in implementing similar infrastructure projects.
In addition, the parties discussed the participation of Chinese experts in the work of project offices under the Tourism Committee, the development of master plans for tourist destinations, improvements to investment project management mechanisms, the introduction of BIM and GIS digital technologies, the application of international standards in the tourism industry, and the conduct of technical assessments.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to launch joint educational and professional development programs for employees of the project offices. These programs will focus on modern approaches to project management, tourism infrastructure development, investment attraction, and the application of international best practices.
