TMC Chairman meets with youth: an open dialogue about the future
Today, the future of industry depends not just on new deposits, modern technologies, or large investments, but on the people who oversee them, develop new ideas, and transform knowledge into real outcomes.
The Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex (TMC) engages with young people through this very approach.
An open dialogue, “Leader and Youth”, was held at the Rare Metals and Hard Alloys Production Plant, a TMC subsidiary, with the participation of the Chairman of the Board Farhod Abdullayev, and young employees from across the complex’s system.
Instead of a conventional, formal meeting, it became a space for open question-and-answer sessions, direct discussion of proposals and initiatives, and honest sharing of perspectives on plans and the youth’s role in them.

Today, this plant employs 352 young people.
The Chairman of the Board highlighted that, above all, this figure reflects people and their futures.
To me, 352 young people are more than a number. They embody 352 destinies, dreams, ideas, and opportunities.
The meeting primarily focused on exploring ways to capitalize on these opportunities. Participants openly discussed issues such as professional development, science, emerging technologies, involvement in new projects, and the future responsibilities of young specialists.
The Chairman of the Board also observed that the requirements for human capital in today’s industry are evolving.
“Today, the most valuable resource is a person who can transform knowledge into results. Acquiring skills in foreign languages, digital technologies, and professional areas broadens their abilities”, he said.
This approach is directly connected to TMC’s key industrial objectives. As new production initiatives and scientific, research, and technological sectors emerge at the complex, they demand forward-looking, knowledgeable, and proactive experts.
Therefore, during the dialogue, it was emphasized that young people should not only participate in existing processes but also propose new solutions, conduct scientific research, master modern technologies, and be prepared to assume management responsibilities in the future.
“At TMC, we are ready to listen to ideas, test them, and turn them into production results”, the Chairman of the Board said.
This idea captured the meeting’s essence: for a young employee, showing initiative is an opportunity, and for leadership, listening and paving the way for a promising idea is a responsibility.
