The President of Uzbekistan receives a delegation from Russia
On April 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, to the President of Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed the practical implementation of high-level agreements within the framework of deepening the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia.
Intensive contacts across all areas were noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover continues to grow steadily, major industrial cooperation projects are being implemented, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding.

Particular attention was given to implementing the project to build the country’s first integrated nuclear power plant, as well as to cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
The sides agreed to intensify cooperation in digital technologies, youth and information policy, media development, and civic initiatives.
