The President of Uzbekistan meets with the President of Serbia

On the sidelines of the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum in Baku, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić.

The sides discussed current aspects of further developing multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia in the context of implementing the agreements reached at the highest level.

Priority attention was given to increasing trade turnover and to preparing a cooperation program in sectors such as mechanical engineering, manufacturing, the chemical and electrical industries, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, tourism, and other areas.

The importance of strengthening humanitarian cooperation was emphasized, including the organization of the first forum of rectors and mutual Days of Cinema and Culture.

The Presidents also exchanged views on current international issues and reviewed the schedule for upcoming high-level events.
