President of Uzbekistan discusses development of bilateral relations with Prime Minister of Armenia
On October 8, on the sidelines of events in Avaza, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
The leaders discussed key issues for expanding multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Armenia.
They active contacts at various levels, including the recent political consultations between the two countries were noted with satisfaction.
Mutual trade continues to grow, and 80 enterprises with Armenian capital are operating successfully in Uzbekistan. Direct air service has been established between the capitals.
The leaders stressed the importance of advancing cooperation projects in agriculture, jewelry, light industry, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and tourism.
In this context, the importance of successfully holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and organizing joint business events was emphasized.
The sides also discussed the international agenda and cooperation within multilateral organizations.
