New Academic Year Begins in Higher Education Institutions (+video)
The 2026–2027 academic year has commenced at the Alisher Navoiy Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, as it has in all higher education institutions across our country.
According to the latest admission results, 1,077 students have been admitted to the first year across 11 fields of study at the university. Of these, 783 will begin their studies in the full-time program, 214 in the evening program, and 80 in the distance learning program. 260 students were admitted on state grants, while 817 were admitted on a fee-paying basis. The number of first-year students is expected to increase further as additional admission processes are ongoing.
Today, the Alisher Navoiy Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature is an educational and scientific center that holds a distinguished position not only in our country but also in the international academic arena. The university's international prestige is demonstrated by its rise from 1000+ in the 2022 THE Impact Rankings to the TOP-101+ level in 2026, its 8th place globally for gender equality, its 28th place for quality education, and its inclusion among the world's TOP-251+ universities for "Modern Languages" in the QS rankings.
The university's "Uzbek Studies Program" at the University of Oxford, the "Uzbekistan Corner" at Ca' Foscari University of Venice, its Uzbek language and culture centers in various countries, and its international educational and scientific projects are also opening doors to new opportunities for young people.
Now, it is the new generation of students' turn to carry on this great history, traditions, and achievements.
