Modern wastewater treatment facility for the capital
Expanding mutually beneficial, long-term partnerships is one of the priority areas of Uzbekistan’s foreign economic policy. International cooperation plays an important role in implementing projects aimed at infrastructure development, the introduction of modern technologies, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
During the official visit of the Uzbekistan government delegation to the United Arab Emirates, several meetings were held. The delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev. It also included Acting Chairman of the Board of Uzsuvtaminot, Akhmad Suvonqulov.

At the center of the negotiations were issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation in the economy, tourism, logistics, digital transformation, and water management, as well as the implementation of promising investment projects.

At a meeting with the management of TAQA Water Solutions – a leading international operator in water supply and wastewater management – issues related to the construction of a new wastewater treatment facility for Tashkent and the introduction of effective management mechanisms were discussed.

It was noted that the construction of the new facility is of great importance for modernizing the capital’s municipal infrastructure, improving environmental sustainability, and enhancing the quality of services for the population. The introduction of advanced foreign experience will contribute to the rational use of water resources.
