International cooperation program launched
The Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan organized a meeting dedicated to the official launch of the International Cooperation Program in Central Asia for 2026-2029.
As part of this initiative, Switzerland will allocate 18.3 million Swiss francs to Uzbekistan. These funds will be directed toward implementing projects in the fields of water resources and energy, economic development, and public administration.
It was also noted that the first phase of the VET4UZ project, implemented from 2021 to 2025 in cooperation with Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and the Agency for Professional Education, has been completed.
The total funding for the project is 12.5 million Swiss francs. The main objective of the project is to enhance the competitiveness of vocational education graduates in the labor market and increase their employment rate.
