International collaboration in education
Currently, improving the quality of education and expanding international cooperation remain top priorities. In this context, presenting the 2026 UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report holds particular significance.
Delegates from Uzbekistan are actively taking part in this renowned event at UNESCO Headquarters.
During the presentation, several important meetings took place with the participation of the Minister of Preschool and School Education Ezoza Karimova.
In particular, during the meeting with UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, Stefania Giannini, a roadmap to establish a UNESCO Category II Center in Tashkent was discussed. Proposals included attracting a mission of international experts, holding joint conferences, and implementing pilot projects.

Issues regarding developing cooperation between schools, establishing student exchange programs, interaction in implementing artificial intelligence technologies, and training teaching staff were discussed with Huai Jinpeng, the Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

During the discussion with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Education, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev, particular focus was given to developing regional cooperation and exchanging experiences in subject Olympiads.
At the meeting with Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Hasan Hasanli, prospects for implementing joint programs in preschool education, STEM education, and artificial intelligence were discussed. The parties agreed to develop a roadmap for cooperation for 2027-2030.

During a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for Planning and Development, Saad bin Abdul Ghani Al-Ghamdi, a proposal was put forward to launch joint educational programs. An agreement was reached to continue negotiations on developing cooperation mechanisms.
The bilateral meetings helped strengthen cooperation in education.
