International Bakhshi Art Festival kicks off in Syrdarya
On May 6, 2023, on the stage of the amphitheater named after the People’s Poet of Uzbekistan, Tura Suleyman, the theatrical concert program “My Freedom, Happiness, Blue Sky!” dedicated to the opening ceremony of the Third International Bakhshi Art Festival, kicked off in Syrdarya. The flags of 30 foreign countries were brought to the stage.
The festive greetings of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the festival participants were read out by the Advisor to the President Odil Abdurakhmanov.
The festive program opened with a theatrical musical composition, “Ibtido”, performed by the ensemble “Sabo” musicians of Jizzakh regional branch of the State Philharmonic Society of Uzbekistan. The concert was also enriched by the performances of the song and dance ensembles “Lazgi”, “Shodlik”, ballet dancers of the Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theatre, the dance ensemble “Bukhoro Mavjlari”, the folklore and ethnographic ensemble “Boysun”, the ensemble “Maqom” named after Yunus Rajabi.
Performances by People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Gulora Rakhimova, Honored Artists of Uzbekistan Oygul Khalilova, Mavluda Mamatillaakhunova, Ilyas Arabov, winners of the “Nihol” Prize Kakhramon Rashidov, Salamat Ayapov, Otabek Ruzmetov, Dilnoza Artikova, Bakhshi Baykuchkar Akhmedov, Dilmurad Gulmuradov, Ravshan Mamatmuratov, Ogabek Ulashov, Sunnatilo Eshmanov, Eldor Shamuradov, Farrukh Nuraliyev gave the participants of the event a festive mood.
The event ended with fireworks. The celebration, which was attended by 1,500 artists, left a great impression on all those present.
