Independence Cup kicks off

Today, the Independence Cup mini-football tournament among media representatives kicked off. The competition is organized by the National News Agency of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Football Association and the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan.

The tournament is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Following the draw, 22 teams were divided into four groups.

The group-stage matches will be held on May 6 and 7. The final will take place on May 8.

The tournament promotes a healthy lifestyle and strengthens friendship, unity, and solidarity among journalists.
