The 3rd Asian Youth Games have kicked off in Manama, Bahrain. More than 8000 athletes from 45 countries will take part in competitions in 24 sports.

Volleyball, wrestling, handball, kabaddi, and pencak silat championships will take place on October 19.

The Uzbekistan national team members will hold their first penchak silat and wrestling matches. In particular, Otabek Yuldoshboyev in the weight category up to 65 kg and Durdona Tursunova in the weight category up to 70 kg will participate in the wrestling competitions. Feruza Bozorova and Nurislam Ruziboyev will compete in pencak silat.

On October 20, Uzbekistan’s volleyball players will face athletes from Kazakhstan, and the handball players will play with rivals from India.
