Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan Summit concludes
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has concluded his state visit to Uzbekistan.
The previous day, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a narrow-format meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart and the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council. The historic Treaty on Eternal Friendship and a substantial package of documents were signed, and several joint projects were launched. The Heads of State were also presented with the highest state awards of the two countries.

During the visit, the President of Azerbaijan was briefed on the New Tashkent project. The Heads of State attended the opening ceremony for the new campus of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami and launched construction of Azerbaijan Park in New Tashkent.
Today, the summit continued in Bukhara. The Heads of State, accompanied by their spouses, visited the city’s historical landmarks.

The distinguished guests were briefed on Bukhara region’s potential in digitalization, light industry, and electrical engineering.
Following the events, President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse were seen off at Bukhara International Airport by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his spouse.
Thereupon, the President of Uzbekistan concluded his visit to Bukhara and returned to Tashkent.
