Uzbekistan and China reach an agreement to establish a joint startup and innovation center
A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Uktam Salomov, held an official meeting with the leadership of the HICOOL ecosystem in China.
HICOOL has been operating since 2020, bringing together more than 34,000 startups from 167 countries, with the total investment attracted through the project amounting to $7.4 billion.
Agreements were reached to implement joint incubation and acceleration programs based on the HICOOL model, establish a joint Uzbek-Chinese startup and innovation center, and create a special venture fund to support promising projects.
Following the meeting, the Chinese partners were invited to participate in InnoWeek.Uz 2026.
