The meeting of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly takes place
A major event devoted to youth took place in New York as part of the Meeting of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly.
The event was organized by the Chairman of the UN Third Committee and the UN Major Group for Children and Youth.
The main goal is to gather the opinions of young people on equality, social development, and human rights, and align their views with the committee’s work.

The Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, the Head of the UN Youth Office, the Special Representative of the International Labour Organization to the United Nations, and heads of several structures attended the event.
Along with young people from several countries, Nurullo Rasulov, a young journalist from Uzbekistan, spoke on behalf of the Asia Pacific Youth Forum on SDGs. He highlighted the active participation of Uzbekistan’s youth in the country’s political and public life, noting that the Youth Parliament’s activities are becoming a crucial framework for integrating youth initiatives into the legislative process. N. Rasulov proposed to create a basis for peace based on solidarity, mutual respect, and trust.
