Tashkent hosts global investment voices
The Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF 2026) is taking place in Uzbekistan’s capital, gathering government officials, international financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds, and leaders of major global companies. With the theme “Investment Resilience: New Frontiers, New Partnerships”, the forum has grown into one of Central Asia’s most prominent investment events.
This year’s event has drawn participants from over 100 countries, with companies at the forum collectively managing around $42 trillion in assets. The discussions center on investment opportunities in green energy, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, industry, transport, logistics, and other key economic sectors.
At the forum’s sidelines, UzA correspondent held an exclusive interview with Asif Hussain, Executive Director and Global Head of Financial Institutions and Corporate Coverage at the Investment Bank. They discussed emerging investment trends, the increasing importance of developing markets, and the potential for expanding international financial cooperation with Uzbekistan.
