Pasture management is reaching a new stage of development
The Minister of Agriculture, Ibrohim Abdurahmonov, visited an area allocated for the Navoi experimental plot of the Bukhara Scientific and Production Center for Desert Pasture Forage Crop Seeds, located near the village of Shurkul in the Kanimekh district, to review the work being carried out there.
Today, one of the key directions of the reforms being implemented in our country's agricultural sector is the rational use of land and water resources, the creation of a stable fodder base for livestock, and an increase in the income of the rural population. In particular, the effective use of existing opportunities in desert and pasture areas and the introduction of new technologies based on a scientific approach are among the most pressing tasks. One such promising project is the cultivation of pasture plant seeds being launched in the Konimex district of the Navoiy region.
In this territory, which covers an area of 2,000 hectares, it is planned to grow plants suitable for desert and pasture conditions that serve as fodder for livestock, propagate their seeds, and conduct scientific research.

"At the initial stage of the project, the effect of various preparations and elements on plant growth and development will be studied as an experiment on a 5-hectare plot," says branch head Obloqul Hamitov. "Specifically, experiments will be conducted in separate plots using mixtures of yeast and sugar, boric acid, silicon, manganese, and aspirin. During the experiment, plant germination, root system development, growth dynamics, and yield will be regularly monitored. The results obtained will be scientifically analyzed to help identify the most effective methods. This aligns with one of the core principles of the reforms being implemented in the agricultural sector: making decisions based on a scientific approach and practical results. Highly effective technologies will subsequently be widely introduced, and technological recommendations and programs will be developed for use in pasture management."
The project pays special attention to making extensive use of the potential of scientific research institutes, identifying pasture plants suitable for local climate and soil conditions, and developing their seed production. In this process, social issues are not overlooked alongside economic efficiency. The project aims to provide employment for the population and youth living in nearby villages, expand their sources of income, and involve the local population in mastering new agrotechnologies and production processes.

Subsequently, as a result of the "Konimex experience," a highly effective method will be identified, and it is planned to introduce it into the practice of developing pasture farming on a national scale.
