Discussion on the development of mediation

A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Justice Minister Akbar Tashkulov, met with George Lim SC, the Chair of the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC).

The parties discussed how mediation is developing in Uzbekistan and explored ways to expand mechanisms for quick, reliable pre-trial resolution of international disputes.

The parties agreed to organize training programs in international commercial mediation for Uzbekistan specialists, with Singaporean experts’ involvement, explore establishing a SIMC regional office in Uzbekistan, and collaboratively host conferences and forums to promote mediation.
