Baysun Spring Festival identifies its winners
150 participants from 16 folklore and ethnographic ensembles of Uzbekistan and more than 30 foreign collectives presented their national traditions and art at the International Folklore Festival “Baysun Spring”.
The “Boysun” folklore and ethnographic ensemble from Surkhandarya region took first place in the “Folklore” nomination. The “Jondor” (Bukhara region) and “Belaruski gastinets” (the Republic of Belarus) folklore and ethnographic collectives ranked second. In addition, the “Khushanzamon” (Navoi region) and Shaamemastana Bazm Boyz” (Pakistan) collectives shared the third place.

The Bogdon folklore and ethnographic collective from Jizzakh region won the Folk Games and Entertainment Art nomination. The Radoves (Russia) and Meros (Karakalpakstan) collectives shared the second place. The “Zilol” from Andijan region, “Khorazm” from Khorezm region, and “Tumor” from Kazakhstan took third place.

At the event, the winners were presented with cash prizes and awards.
